Do I need to do anything prior to purchasing a Diagram?
Yes there a few things that are required prior to the purchase to ensure you get the best result:
1) You will need to draw and submit a mudmap/site plan of your business.
2) The following areas will need to be clearly labelled on the Diagram to ensure our specialist can design it effectively and comprehensively on our software:
✓ Work Area including walls and doors.
✓ Doors (Ensure you label correctly which way the door swings in and out)
✓ Designated exit paths (If more than one, identify your primary and alternate exit path)
✓ Office Area
✓ Fire Extinguishers (be specific list the type I.e ABE, Water, Co2, Foam etc)
✓ Fire Hose Reels
✓ Exit Signage
✓ Emergency Assembly Area
✓ First Aid Kits
✓ Mark the “You Are Here” location on the markup
✓ Other equipment if applicable I.e Defibrillators, Switchboards, Fire Control Panels etc
3) Once this has occurred you can submit your mud map/mark up via email.
Helpful Tips when drawing your own mudmap/mark up.
To ensure simplicity try to obtain a formal site plan – You may have obtained the site plan prior to you arriving at your place of business via a real estate agent or landlord.
The site plan should contain a Diagram of the site which details all the rooms walls and other structural areas of the building.
By having access to this site plan, you wont need to draw up the area which will save a great amount of time.
Print off the site plan and use it to draw/mark all applicable items that are required on an Emergency Evacuation Diagram.
Do you have an example of a diagram you have developed ?
Yes, please refer to the Landscape diagram that we developed for Resilient Kicks in South Australia.
What types of buildings do you design diagrams - Are their any limitations ?
We design diagrams for small to medium size businesses.
A small business example can be the size of a general mechanic shop
A medium size business can be a rough size of a general warehouse.
We can design diagrams for a site up to 2 floor levels
Unfortunately, we cannot exceed this size and floor level limitation.
